DESCRIPTION – HOUSEKEEPER/LAUNDERER
Selo Gardens Personal Care Home requires a full-time Housekeeper. The
Housekeeper, responsible to the Coordinator, will work in a new 20 room
personal care home facility located in south central Regina. Forward resume
to: RESPONSIBLE TO: the Personal Care Home Coordinator QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience would be an asset. GENERAL: Good relationship with residents and other staff. DUTIES: - Clean resident rooms daily or as directed, that is, wash sink, toilet, mirror, floor, dust, empty garbage, replace toilet paper. - Keep all other bathrooms and tub rooms clean and sanitized daily and wash tubs, sinks, floors, toilets and refill paper towel and toilet paper dispensers. - Wash floor in hallways, entrances, dining room, garbage and maintenance and laundry areas as directed or as necessary. - Dust and vacuum sitting room and office daily. - Launder all bedding, towels and residents' personal laundry - fold and return to rooms. - Empty garbage from Garbage Room daily for removal by the waste disposal utilized by Selo Gardens senior complex. - Wash kitchen floor daily or as directed. - Wipe rails, light fixtures, dust or wipe all blinds periodically in all areas. - Keep laundry room equipment clean. Remove lint from filters. - Clean resident room thoroughly when vacated (on discharge). - Advise care home coordinator when supplies need to be ordered. - Advise care home coordinator of any problems with the equipment and repairs needed to any of the equipment or to any of the laundry room facilities such as the sinks, fans, cabinets, walls and floors. |
